Purpose
The purpose of TheCall Florida was to stir up a great movement of prayer and revival in the state which would impact the nation.
Summary
Four years earlier, for 50 days and nights, up to 100 young people gathered for continuous fasting and prayer. During that time, they received a very significant dream from a prophetic leader in the nation. In that dream, the letters F-O-C-U-S-S were seen. They stood for Florida, Ohio, Catholics, Universities, and Swing States. During those days of prayer, they cried out to God to turn the tide of the coming election from Florida. God answered those prayers, and the votes in Florida ended up tipping the scales. Once again, Florida will be a swing state, not just for elections but for revival as well. Great moves of God have come out of Florida in the last 30 years, and the sounds of prayer that birthed those movements are rumbling again.
Also, just before TheCall gathering, Lou spoke with two key pastors in Florida. The first said that 24/7 prayer had been launched in his church with 20 full-time intercessors. The second said that his church was engaged in a 21-day fast with three prayers meetings held daily. With those words, Lou’s heart was stirred that another great prayer reformation was underway, with Florida playing a key role.
Also, about twenty-five years ago, Lou read Derek Prince’s book Shaping History Through Prayer and Fasting, which he wrote in 1973 following the passage of Roe vs. Wade. TheCall and Lou’s ministry were birthed out of the vision of that book. It was out of Florida that Derek’s ministry exploded.
Lou met Derek in Ft. Lauderdale when he was 86 years old. Lou thanked this spiritual father for passing on this vision of the power of fasting, and together they wept. It was one of the most precious moments of Lou’s life. Again, this is part of Florida’s heritage. Articles in this group
