Purpose
The purpose of TheCall Ohio was to raise up a new “abolition” movement for the ending of abortion, the increasing of adoptions, and another great awakening.
Summary
While reading a key quote in the biography of William Wilberforce, Lou was suddenly and forcibly apprehended by the presence of God. In that moment, he received an undeniable and irrevocable commission from the Lord; “Raise up a prayer movement to end abortion in America.” TheCall Ohio was a flashpoint in that movement.
Historically, Cincinnati, Ohio, stood as a gap between God and slavery. A slave who made it across the Ohio River sent a message back to his enslaved family in the South, “Tell them if they can only get to Cincinnati, they can get liberty.” Cincinnati was where the Underground Railroad brought them to safety. From there a new breed of abolitionist preachers fanned throughout the nation shaking the ideologies of slavery. It is the place where the right-to-life movement began, and where an adoption movement is being raised up. Also, in that city the slave trade of pornography was banned for 20 years in recent history.
Furthermore, in Ohio, Charles Finney’s bones lie buried, and written upon his tombstone are the words, “The Lord our God be with us as He was with our fathers….” Can Finney’s bones live again? TheCall Ohio became a time to groan in prayer for the third great awakening in America. Articles in this group
