The only reason you are marching on Washington is to end abortion? What about racism? What about racism in the church? What about division in the church? What about churches not preaching the gospel, but more concerned about the political decisions in America? We shouldn't just be marching and praying in DC based solely on abortion, but a revival needs to occur in the church regarding a real revelation of Jesus Christ. The reason why there still is abortion in this country is not because people are evil, it is simply because the church has not lifted Jesus up the way it should. Once we have a revival about fixing the church instead of fixing America, then I'll be there. (chadcy@hotmail.com)

Chad, I am sorry that you feel this way. Show me one time where Jesus talked about a church in the regard that you are talking. Your idea of church is denominational which is a sad state of American religion. Jesus called Peter out of the boat to do more than just sit in a safe enviroment such as his boat. This cause is much bigger than you can imagine. To make light of abortion is a dangerous thing I believe. What is your voting record? A majority of Jesus's time here on earth was outside with people and not in a synagogue. People who have the faith and courage to step outside of their comfort zone, the church building, will be met by the true spirit of God. He is calling us out, will you go or just make excuses not to be there. It is easy to point fingers at our weaknesses but courageous to believe in the sufficiency of his grace and stand up and be the "Voice of one Crying in the Wilderness!" Please pray and don't point, remember he is no respector of person.

Interesting that I wrote about this in an e-mail on 7/30 the day before this last post. I was responding to an e-mail that a friend sent, here is what I wrote; Hi Mike, I got your e-mail about why whoever wrote it thinks Obama will win and although they make a good argument I have to disagree. I just finished watching Newt Gingrich's dvd and am even more convinced and inspired. Thank you so much for giving it to me.In the very beginning Newt refers to the fundamental difference between God being on our side and us(our nation)being on the side of God. That we should endeavor to seek what is on His heart and how that could impact the leadership of our nation and change its course. Well as I told you earlier today I think one of the most KEY issues in this election is the sin of abortion primarily because of how God views it. Albeit I have heard several Christian conservatives rank it low on the list with comments like "It's not the only thing that matters",etc. If we know what great a price Jesus paid to redeem back the lost to His Father, than how greatly the matter of murdering so many innocent lives must weigh. So if you have a candidate that will elect pro-life judges to the Supreme Court, which is where the legality of the issue lies, and if the church seeks God's intervention it is clear that there is hope. So if even some of the church could purposely position themselves as Esther did and come together in prayer and fasting at "The Call" in DC...our nation's capital... then there could be real revival which is far better than "CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN". All I can say is how much I appreciate Lou Engle and his determination to mobilize the church to defeat the enemy here. And is it any wonder that there has been such a focus on Esther in recent years. In books, sermons and a major movie? I think God has been up to something. And I just saw this....Esther's original name was Hadassah which means Myrtle Tree. In Isaiah 55 it is promised that if there is repentance and returning to the Lord that "instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree"(vs13). I think we want a myrtle tree established and not a brier patch. Then in Esther 2:7 it says"And he brought up Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle's daughter, FOR SHE HAD NEITHER FATHER NOR MOTHER(ie;victims of the sin of abortion) and the maid was fair and beautiful;whom Mordecai took for his daughter" and there you have the spirit of adoption which is lauded as the answer to the abortion crisis. Wow I seriously just got all that after the fact. Anyway, check out "theCall", it's powerful and please tell others about it. Laurie The upshot is that if you are seeking God on behalf of a nation and its TURNING FROM SIN you MUST go after what is on God's heart!

We need t be united in prayer , not argue about what to pray. We all have sinned. The root cause of our economic collapse is sin: mainly greed, envy, covetousness, love of money and material things, selfish ambition. And those of us who think we are not guilty of these sins, try complacency. We have been quiet and we have voted leaders for the wrong reasons, as man would choose ( looking very presidential and sounding eloquent), not as God would choose God fearing, Godly and God abiding and life with integrity) .We have trained our people gradually from a strong society that is proud to say truth all the time and condemned lies as dishonorable -to a society that honors a former president who lied to his teeth in contempt of court about his obvious scandalous affair and even considers him as one of our great presidents; on the other hand, the one president who claimed his greatest hero is Jesus, who honors God and life is viciously laughed at and pounded down by the liberal left to make him apppear as one of the worst and most unpopular president in history and we christians are silent or agree with these attacks!. If the former president can do it , why can't we? And so the moral breakdown escalates among the people not only with rampant lying but with sexual immorality esp. among our political leaders and our youth. As the story goes , we have branched out to other grave sins such as pornography, deviant sex, violence, corruption, and people taking advantage of each other. Poverty and crime will increase and we will need more money to check these and guard against and investigate and we will be too busy to watch our backs and our enemies will creep in on us. If we look even further we have slowly allowed amnesia regarding God's moral laws starting from our schools by removing God from our schools, then from our courts then from our public places. I dread the day when he is removed from our country when we choose a president who will put a license to immorality by legalizing abortion and homosexual marriage and giving power to homosexuals to invade and impose their freedom in our society and curtail freedom of speech from Christians. I dread the day when a very liberal president will choose very left leaning judges who will rule from the bench and totally change our God inspired constitution and finally drive God out of our money and our country. Can you tell how all these will finally drive our economy to collapse and our enemies can easily take over? I would not like to live in America at that time because without God, the devil will be let loose! It is very crucial that we pray and vote for the right reasons. The liberal left are overtaking us with the help of the liberal media. Only God can help us! PRAY and fast and stop complaining! Let us be humble and repent and change our ways!
